Cucumbers by the slew
Cannot eat enough while they’re fresh?
Pickle ‘em in a brine stew.
Salty, spicy, or sweet
A good accompaniment to meat
So many herbs and spices to try,
Preferred as a cold crispy treat.
Mustard seeds, garlic, and dill
Red pepper flakes if you will
In my book the spicier the better,
And homemade, better than the mill.
